“T” for Taylor, the Teenage Dream from Taylor, Texas!

With her stunning red locks and million-dollar smile, she’s a Cover Girl if ever there was one! No surprise that this beauty has already found her forever home. She joined GRR after her original family’s lives “just got really, really busy.” The young gal was already spending too much time alone in her backyard—and then, the owners purchased unfenced acreage in the country and began planning a move. “There are coyotes and such out there, and I don’t think it will be safe for a dog.” Luckily, help was at hand—literally. A GRR volunteer was living right next door and already spending time with Taylor. “She has a real soft personality and is very eager to please. She is one smart girl! She has learned SIT & STAY (using voice and hand signals). She likes to play ball (knows what BALL means) and will release to GIVE, though you might have to tug a little bit. She is just wonderful and will make her new owner very happy.”

… and that is just what she is doing. Taylor has moved right into a “foster-to-adopt” home—and for a yard dog, she’s taken beautifully to the indoor life. She is already housebroken and does just fine in her crate—important, since she did turn out to have heartworms, and will need exercise restriction for a couple of months. “She’s calm in the house and would let you pet her 24 hours a day if you wanted to. Plays gently with her toys occasionally. She's fabulous!”

On lead, Taylor does pull some, but mom reports that “I'm watching videos and practicing how to walk her on loose leash. She's been EXCELLENT at learning everything else, so it's all on me to figure out how to teach leash walking betters. She's SO excited to go outside beyond the backyard! She'll catch on quickly.”

Outgoing Taylor loves people & loves getting attention from everyone. “We can’t  wait for her to get through heartworm treatment so she can go on longer walks & play fetch.”
