#13-056 Bubbas
Age: 3 years
Weight: 57 pounds
MATCHED
Bubbas traveled all the way from Spain to be with his new forever family. We
don’t know if, while in Spain, he saw the famous Spanish horses or the Flamenco
dancers and guitarists, but he certainly could be any of the above, judging from
his energy and good looks. A GRR
Transport volunteer said she thought his original family called him
babas —“drool” in Spanish—but we’d
written his name as “Bubbas” on the surrender form, and we decided to keep it as
his GRR name… sounds nice & Texan! By the way, he’s a good traveler, lying down
in the backseat & watching out the window.

Bubbas arrived in style with his own two pallet beds, two bowls (one each for
water and food), and some toys.
He’s a true retriever in that he loves to fetch toys and bring them to you to
start the game. Bubbas has puppy
energy: he’s curious (in the trash once for a snack), sniffs for trails outside,
pulls a little on the leash.
He takes treats gently (but quickly) and is not toy possessive.
Bubbas loves attention and will stick close to you for petting and tummy
rubs. He gets excited around children, so he may jump a little in enthusiasm.
Bubbas lived with another dog in Spain and has been around kittens and
other animals, but he has chased a cat (probably in invitation to
play).

Bubbas sleeps straight through the night. Fireworks, heavy rain and
thunderstorms (when we’ve had them) don’t seem to bother him while he’s inside.
He’s a sweet people dog who needs daily activity.
He would do well in a family home with lots of friends & of course a nice
big yard where he can run and play catch.
