Well… no wonder our intake director picked the name “Metro” for this classy fella.

Sophistication? Check! You have to be in the know to make it as a stray, weather a shelter stay and the vet clinic, and come out with that tail wagging. (Not to mention wrapping everyone you meet around your paw. The shelter staff adored him and all gave him a good-bye pat as he loaded up on Release Day. The vet phoned our medical director about him – she says, “He is so sweet & handsome!”)

Fashionable taste? Check! He selected a brilliant blue collar to offset his golden coiffure.

Other habits and manners associated with experienced Goldens? Check! Just take a look at the photos – he can give a winning smile and unstuff a plushie like a champ! Not to mention being able to polish off a meal in the blink of an eye—not surprising, since at a skinny 56 pounds, he needs to put on 5 to 10 lbs.

Foster mom says:

As soon as I brought Metro home, he spent the afternoon exploring the house and backyard.  He LOVES the backyard.  He had several treats and LOTS of love.  He loves to be petted and brushed. When my husband came home from work, even though they were meeting for the first time, Metro instantly loved him and has not left his side.  (I am trying not to get too jealous.... ) When we’re at work, we’ve been leaving him in the laundry room (with a midday break for lunch and the restroom) and he’s totally fine and well-behaved. We love him already!
