This 11 pound sweet girl has been nothing but a
blessing to her foster family.
Known to her foster family as “Jazz,” this
lovable fur ball is fitting in and falling in line with her other doggie
siblings, Rusty, Krispy, and
Though she exhibits typical puppy behavior (jumping,
chewing, digging, etc.), she accepts re-direction and minds her manners.
Foster mom says “she isn’t a heavy chewer on
things that she shouldn’t.
She tries to chew on metal chair legs, but we
give her an antler or chew toy which works to redirect.”

As with all young pups, the first few months and even
year can be quite trying, but Jazz catches on quickly.
The first night in her crate, Jazz yelped and
cried, but then her foster family discovered after placing her dad’s shoe in her
crate, she curled up and slept soundly. In fact, she’s only had a couple of
accidents in the house. She sits to be fed and to go outside—after asking her to
do so only once.
At her foster home, Jazz is constantly exposed to new
experiences.
She enjoys her baths and is learning to
retrieve.
She followed Saylor her bunny brother into the bushes
and then he lunged at her.
Screaming all the way, Jazz hightailed it back
to her mom’s heels.
Jazz has exhibited a bit of food guarding, but
her foster family is working on this.
Foster mom reports because she learns quickly and
because she is such a young girl, Jazz will need a home that keeps her active
and involved.
But any family would be lucky to have Jazz as
their new companion.
