Dasher
#12-168 Dasher, age 10 weeks
Weight: growing!
MATCHED
Dasher is already matched to his forever home. Here’s his story so far:
On, Dasher!!
What, let a few tiny health issues hold him back?? “Ever onwards and upwards is
my motto!” says this fluffy pup, whose family is definitely enjoying the
“prancing and pawing of each little foot,” as the famous Christmas poem goes.
Not to mention the nipping of each little tooth! (“I had forgotten how much
those baby teeth can scratch!” says mom.)
Dasher’s short life has already been filled with adventure. First, the miniature
hobo spent what must have been a scary time hitch-hiking along a country road:
imagine being a ten-pound pup & having big rigs whiz by! He was collected and
stashed at the shelter, but not for long—within a few days, he caught a
multi-hour van ride from way down
South into Central Texas, where he checked into the clinic for vetting. Uh, oh –
sarcoptic mange. (No wonder he was itchy.) But oh yes! Easily curable with a
topical treatment that annihilates mange mites very effectively, and therapy is
underway right now.
Dasher’s foster mom is a nurse, so he’s getting tip-top professional care. Mom
even listens to his puppy heart with her stethoscope, and reports it to be 100%
brave, true, and Golden!
