Update 11/21/12:

It was early November when the dashing blond Cowboy showed up in a small Texas town. Heading for the local dance hall, er, junior high school, he proceeded to demonstrate his runnin’, jumpin’, and fetchin’ skills on the adjacent prairie, that is, football field, much to the admiration of the dance hall patrons, uh, students, all of whom were eager to put him up for the night. But wait! Before taking a complete stranger into your home, you should at least see some identification. That’s where things got sticky, because Cowboy had apparently forgotten his driver’s license, Rodeo Registration Card, and anything else that might ID him! What to do next? The handsome boy’s new friends promptly put in a call to Officer Doug, who appeared pronto in his patrol car and shuttled Cowboy to the local police station, where he could apply for a Texas ID Card.

But…

You can’t apply for an ID card if you can’t tell anyone your name, residence, or date of birth!

Perhaps a relative or two would phone in, hunting for a family member who’d gone missing from a local cattle drive?

Nope.

However, not to worry. The long arm of the law simply extended its reach and began getting hold of rescue groups, all the while keeping Cowboy safe and sound and finding out more good things about him, such as: friendly with all, even little kids; superb lariat skills, by which we mean he’s good at BEING roped, er, leashed; apparently used to living inside; and healthy.

Now Cowboy has moved to his foster home, and we’re all waiting to hear about his latest adventures!
