Gorgeous Gabby is already matched up to her new
home, but we like to give all our GRR dogs a spot on our website! So here’s her
story:
Could she be any cuter!
This adorable gal comes to GRR from a fantastic owner who acquired her just this
past June and gave her the very best of care, but realized that she needed more
companionship than he can give right now. “She is my first dog and I just didn’t
know that young Goldens need a lot of time and attention,” he said. “I work long
hours and sometimes need to go out after work, too, and it just isn’t fair to
Gabby.” A weekend visit to his sister, who has another dog and a couple of kids,
made up the owner’s mind for good. "She played and ran and was so happy. I
realized that this is what she really needs and I can't give her that life right
now. It breaks my heart to give her up, but she deserves more."
Our matchmakers
had a family in mind just as soon as they read the surrender information, and
soon Gabby was on her way to her forever home, where things are going
beautifully! To add to her other virtues, Gabby is wonderful with cats, as you
can see. “We had to get that pic ‘cause I am sure nobody would have believed us
otherwise!!! Gabby and Larry the cat are great together. We’ll keep you posted
about our new girl!”
