Revo
Revo, age 6
Do you have any dog toys
or stuffed animals in your house that need testing?
If so, then Revo is your dog.
Upon entering the house, he immediately found the big blue bin full of
dog toys. One by one, he took them
out and briefly tested them. A few
squeaks and a few shakes of the head for each one, then on to the next.
Before long, they were strewn all around the living room.
In the days that have followed, he’s found several toys to be
unsatisfactory. “Tigger” had too
much stuffing, so he made sure to take some out.
The orange plastic bone was not up par, so he left little pieces of
orange plastic in its wake.
“Punkinhead” didn’t cut the mustard either.
He doesn’t care for Kongs or the stuffingless toys because they’re no
fun.

Revo is a cute, small
blonde with curly fur, and when he’s not testing toys, he loves to give kisses.
Be forewarned that he’ll take advantage of a face that gets within reach,
and he loves to take advantage of small children whose faces are at an easy
level for him to lick. In the
meantime, he’s patient with children and will calmly let them pet him.
Revo is truly
exceptional. He adapted right away
to his foster family. He didn’t bat
an eye when the two cats came over to check him out.
And he was mellow and calm with his foster brother and sister.
Even when his new brother stole each toy one by one as he was testing
them, instead of getting upset, he just went over to the bin and got another
one. He never growled, snarled, or
fought.
Revo came from a
wonderful, caring owner whose life circumstances had changed, and all that
loving care really shows. He’s
totally housetrained and doesn’t get into any mischief when left to roam freely
in the house. He stays off the
furniture, although he’s eyed the bed a couple of times.
He’s a fast eater and is usually the first one done, but he doesn’t
bother anyone else or try to steal their food.
He likes to play ball
and he’s very quick. He’s not too
good about giving it back though!
On a leash, he’s easy to walk. He
walks right alongside without pulling or weaving.
As you can see by the
pictures, he is one good-looking dog.
He has a regal air about him and he’s so photogenic, like he’s posing for
the camera. He weighs in at only
about 50 pounds. He’s easygoing,
loving, friendly, athletic, patient, obedient… do you need more?
He’s the whole package! All
he asks for is the same from his new lucky family.
NOTE: Revo has a history of sporadic urinary
retention, but since coming into foster care he hasn’t had any issues
on this score at all. GRR will provide his new home with all his records,
and we’ll pay for a visit to the specialty vet should the problem crop up again.
