Sandy

Sandy, age 1

AVAILABLE

Update 6/19/12:

This happy little gal came to GRR from a single Dad who, as he said, had a “weak moment” when visiting a friend with a litter of pups—and came home with an adorable fluffball for his little girls. (Well, who could resist?) But as Sandy approached the one-year mark, he realized that she needed a home where she could have more exercise and attention: he works full time, and the kids are small and not with him all the time. When he arrived home from work each day, Miss Sandy was so excited she was like a furry rocketship!

Sandy is as sweet as can be, but boy, this is one ACTIVE puppy,” said our intake evaluator—and Sandy’s foster mom agrees:

Sandy is full of energy and will play with you all day long if you let her! She’s the sweetest little girl, playful and loving to children of all ages. She’s is a bit timid at times around new people (she didn’t go out and about much at her first home), but quickly warms up with hugs and kisses.

Sandy especially adores water… when I started my shower, she walked right on in and gave herself her own bath!

Sandy loves walks in the park, and she loves following you around every place you go. She'll even chill when in the car!   She is housebroken, and we’ve left her loose in the house overnight without incident, but she sleeps fine in her crate as well.

She hasn't met a dog she doesn't like, but a flock of birds—well, that's a different story! She'll run after them given the chance.

Sandy will devote her entire self to you!  Beautiful dog, both inside and out.
