Update 6/8/12:
Interest at the
shelter was high in this blonde cutie, but GRR managed to be first in line!
Exactly 72 hours to the minute after Sash was brought in stray, our volunteer
was on hand to sign her out of her kennel and into a waiting limo.
This frisky gal with the
“summer cut” is a puppy through and through. She was nervous at first, “low
crawling” and alarmed at everything (we suspect she was a yard dog up until
now), but it hasn’t taken her long to start relaxing. She bounces and grabs and
pulls on her leash and has a good old time checking out her new world.
“Initially EVERYTHING was a toy, but now she’s learning fast what the toybox is,
where it is, and what’s a toy and what isn’t. By the way, she loves the toybox
and pulls every single toy out for inspection.
Housebreaking is
going well, too. Her family has put her on Puppy Rules & gets her out the door
every few hours. When she’s alone or nobody’s watching, she’s in her crate…
which she doesn’t really care for, but she puts up with it.
Sash just LOVES
other dogs. She initiated play with her Golden foster brothers right away.
She’ll willingly approach any dog and offer to be friends.
“As of today,
this sweet little girl is making great strides,” says her foster mom. “She's
picked up on the silent language of walk time & she is starting to hold that
tail up. She's showing interest in new smells along the way and while passing
cars still startle her, she’s getting used to the noise.
Once she's had more socialization she'll be a gem anywhere!
She'll blossom with love, attention & exercise. Guaranteed!!”
