With a
name like “Armani,” you just know he’s an icon of style!
With his
beautiful butterscotch waves and sparkling personality, Armani would definitely
make a real statement on the runway in
Found
stray over a month ago, this young fellow is a “textbook” Golden. His foster mom
says:
I’m not
sure I’ve ever seen a prettier coat! And he’s so trusting of any adult—he’s
loaded with love and affection. He adores being hugged and petted and he will
reward you with his kisses. Armani is
immediately friendly to other dogs, too; he
approached my Golden like he was his best pal.
He DOES need a little more experience in reading other dogs’ signals
(older dogs don’t want to play ALL the time, Armani!).
He likes doggie beds, the couch, and real beds as well. Somebody must
have taught him a little obedience somewhere along the line, because he follows
the most basic commands.
Armani
seems happy all the time. That tail never stops! He’s got oodles of energy, but
he’s past the young-puppy stage—so far he doesn’t chew anything up but his
stuffy toys, and he hasn’t had any accidents in the house.
A perfect dog, you say? Well, there are
a few areas that need work..... first and foremost, don't let him know if you
have a cat in the house! He goes into pursuit mode right off the bat. He also
needs work on his leash walking; he doesn’t exactly pull, but he zigs and zags
and weaves around: he’s just so excited to get out there and check out all the
sights and smells. And then, of
course, there are those darn heartworms. He’ll need to be quiet for a couple of
months while we get rid of those (the perfect time to work on all kinds of
tricks and training in the nice cool indoors!).
Armani
needs an experienced owner who will be comfortable working with a high-energy
young Golden. And NO cats! The time and effort you put into this dog will be
rewarded ten times over—he’s precious. A few little tweaks and Armani is going
to be the perfect family Golden for years to come.
