Hello! my name is Buster Joe, and I’m a fun-loving young Golden looking for a great home with loving people who will play with me and give me plenty of attention.
My former family purchased me as a puppy and gave me lots of love and training. I know how to sit, stay, heel, speak, and sleep in my crate without whining or barking. And I know I shouldn’t jump up on people or furniture, though sometimes whe playing I get a little excited and forget I shouldn’t throw myself at people!
Unfortunately, my family developed dog-dander allergies. Uh-oh. They tried keeping me outside or in the garage all the time, but I had been an indoor dog, and they knew a social Golden needed to be inside with the people, not outside on his own. So, they decided to contact GRR—they knewGRR would find me the perfect loving family who would not have to keep their distance.
My favorite thing to do is to bring you a stuffed animal and play tug of war with you. I love playing with toys! Sometimes I get confused between my toys and the kids’ toys. When I take something that belongs to the children, I like to bring it to them and not let go. I’m just trying to start a game of tug, but they say I’m stealing. My foster mom tells me that’s “no no” and she’d like me to learn not to “steal.” Lately, she’s been giving me an apple slice for every time I “drop” an item I have stolen. Yummy!
...Oh, that reminds me, speaking of low-cal things like apples…the doc says I’m a little overweight…well actually a lot! Thirty pounds, whatever that means! Anyway, my foster mom has me on the famous “green bean diet” to help me trim down from my current 110 pounds to my idea weight of 80. I don’t mind…I’ll eat anything! Luckily for my fitness program, I love taking walks, too. Right now I just came home from a walk and now I’m ready to go play! Oh, how I want a great home with loving people who will play with me!
