Wild thing...you make my heart sing...
You make everything
Groovy
I said wild thing...
Millie, Mill-the-Pill, Mollie, Molly-Wolly-Bear; They all translate into the same basic name: Wild Thing!
Foster Mom: So Millie, tell us a little about yourself. Our readers want to know!
Millie: Well, I started out life as a stray. Some lady found me & then placed me with a family. I spent a LOT of time in this little mini-jail, a real bummer for a puppy, & never got much attention. After being locked up all the time, I would go, well, kinda nuts when they would let me out. They didn’t understand that I have TON of energy & needed to show them how much I love life! So… they decided to give me back to that nice lady who originally found me. She put me in the yard and, well, I grew up outdoors, living in the great wide open. This was a whole lot better than the “jail” but I didn’t get much “socializing.” I DID have a big ol’ Lab to play with though, & Lord how we rumbled! I guess you could say I’m a sassy little tomboy who can hold my own but definitely love my humans too.
Foster Mom: O.K. Millie, here’s the million dollar question: Are you naughty or nice?
Millie: Ohhhh…. Who can be defined by such simple words? I’m really a combination of both. I love my humans, love those kids like crazy (will lick them all day LONG if they would just let me!) & really dig those long walk/run things! I like to steal things just to see if folks are paying attention but would much rather chew on yummy bones than any furniture or shoes. Oh, hey, I LOVE those salami treats too! Who could have ever guessed I would actually be willing to give up my fetching ball for ANYTHING, right? But, ooooh, those things are Yuuuuuummmmmmeeeeee!!!
Foster Mom: Tell me the naughtiest thing you do. You can be naughty, right?
Millie: I’m a lot less naughty than I was! I’ve been a little bit “domesticated” if you catch my drift <wink>! I’m not really motivated by food so I never “poach for food” & I would never dream of “counter surfing”! I don’t potty in the house anymore either! I do get told “NO!” a lot though for chasing after these two little dogs we live with. I guess I’m just used to playing with a big dog & my love for life scares the little white hairs off of those two sissies. I think those “time outs” you put me in are ridiculous, frankly, but I’ll do anything for a smile & scratch on the ears (or an ice cube, or a salami treat, or a ball, or a hug…).
Foster Mom: “Sissies,” huh? What about cats – are they “sissies” too?

Millie: I don’t really know. BUT… if they are small & hairy, I’d probably like to chase them too! I just like to run & chase & jump & lick & scoot & , well, you get the picture <grin>!
Foster Mom: Millie, if you could pick out your dream home, where would you go?
Millie: I would LOVE LOVE LOVE another big dog to play with! If there are kids there who like dogs & a Mom or Dad who likes to run like you do, that would be SO COOL!!!! Seriously, I’m super cute, really affectionate & just want an opportunity to show some lucky family how to really enjoy life – Let me show them how a “Wild Thing” can make their “Hearts Sing!”
Millie: P.S.: I’m in super good health, have never been heartworm positive & am kind of on the small side for a Golden Retriever. (Thanks for reminding me to say that!)
