Bandit
On June 15, 2005, Bandit arrived on our doorstep as a foster, and quickly melted our hearts (but isn’t that what all Golden’s do). Shortly thereafter he became our forever dog and changed our lives for the better, as does his siblings Katy and Buck.
Bandit was all about love and affection! This regal handsome looking golden when being loved and petted wanted to gaze into your eyes, and don’t look away or try to multi task because THE PAW would remind you that this is his one on one time.
The “Kid Magnet” of the neighborhood would slow down on his walks whenever he passed a house where a kid lived waiting for them to come out and play so he could get additional loving and maybe clean up a bib or sticky hand. He also acquired many human girlfriends in the neighborhood and would kick up this happy prance towards them. There are times when I observed him gazing at his reflection “Who’s that good looking dog? Why it’s me, and I should get a treat for being soooo cute”.
Bandit had a daily check list and an uncanny ability to tell time, giving you the “Look” or his special “Roo” when it was close to an event. Both of these actions grew with intensity especially around his favorite times of the day. “Chippy Time” (dental chews), dinner and playtime!
Bandit was a quite observer of life, he loved watching the comings and goings, whether it was on a walk or holding up the walls of the house snoozing or supervising kitchen detail.
Bandit left us suddenly and way too soon on April 20, 2011. Bandit will never be forgotten. Love and memories will always be with us.
Thank you GRR for introducing us to this wonderful loving golden.
Bandit we love you and miss you terribly. Wherever you are its 10am – Chippy Time.
Forever our Love,
Carl, Lynda, Katy and Buck
