Laney
Lainey is still doing well, in spite of 2 previous bouts with mammary cancer. She has always been camera shy, so photos of her are always a treat.

Ziggy loves to be around our other Golden. Plays well, kisses, cuddles at night, & the two chase each other in yard. We heard he had to be carried to the car when traveling from the shelter, but on the way home from the vet’s he had a good time and poked his nose out the window! Ziggy likes to be right next to people in the house; he loves to be touched and petted, and tries to get in bed or on the couch with us. He follows us around. If he doesn’t have a toy, he will pick up a shoe/sock/towel or anything lying on the floor and carry it in his mouth—he doesn’t chew it, just carries it around while wagging his tail. He loves to play in the house, but also knows when it’s time for bed—and he sleeps through the night, too.
Ziggy arrived in care with a case of kennel cough, so his neuter is on hold until he’s all recovered. Right now he seems low-key for a young pup, but that may change as he gets healthier and adds a few much-needed pounds to his skinny frame. But he IS a puppy, for sure—fairly clumsy in the house, especially with his tail… he chases his own tail and thinks it’s a toy. And he lies down all sprawled out in typical puppy “froggy” pose… very cute!
Ziggy would likely love a home with another dog, but wherever he goes, he needs someone who will shower him with love and attention, keep him active, and give him happy, fun training to keep his mind busy and build his confidence.
