Max

We are heartbroken to say that our dear friend, Maxwell passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 8th.  Max would have been 8 years old in April.  We will never know exactly what happened to Max; however, his doctors feel it was a sudden heart attack, stroke, or something to that effect.   Max had just completed a senior wellness check up and he was the epitome of great health.  We are only comforted in the knowledge that he passed quickly and painlessly.

We adopted Max as a puppy and from day one he was the most energetic, exuberant puppy we’ve ever met.  Max was full of life and did not have the ability to let a human get by him without a thorough petting and a couple of sloppy kisses.  He always had a squeaky ball in his mouth and was obsessed with playing fetch.  He was also a terrific big brother and always did a great job of cleaning up any morsels of food left under his brother’s highchair.  After a day of fun, Max was always ready to show his sensitive and cuddly side by sharing our bed.  Max was silly, crazy and lived everyday to the fullest.  It is because of this zest for life that we feel that Max lived two lives in the span of one.

Max was always there for us in good times and in bad. We know that he loved us as we loved him…. unconditionally.   Max had a heart of gold and his family will forever miss him.
